The GOLSON Salons are open

Your visits may look and feel a little different for a while, but we are Covid Secure for your safety.  Our priority is to protect you and our team members and assure you that we want you to feel safe and looked after during your visit.  Please do speak to your stylist if you have any concerns at any time before or during your appointment.

…Of course, you will leave with that much longed fabulous hair!



Some of the changes that are in place:

Extended hours and reduced stylists over longer opening hours, to ensure we are able to follow social distancing measures as much as possible

Perspex screens at the salon reception desks and in-between the backwash where it isn’t possible to socially distance.

We will only be accepting card payments and Apple Pay and encourage you to book online and pay in advance where possible; we will be able to take card payments for any additional services / treatments or to enable you to purchase hair care and styling products on the day.  

We ask you to arrive only if you have an appointment or are arriving for a skin test.  Please wait outside of the salon and wait for a member of the team to greet you.

Please arrive by yourself unless you need to be accompanied for medical / care reasons or are accompanying a young child

Arrive on time.  If you are late we may not be able to carry out your full service, as we have no waiting area and are unable to overlap appointments

We will ask you questions as advised within the government guidelines, prior to you entering the salon:

– have you developed a recent and continuous cough?

– do you have a temperature?

– Are you experiencing a change in your usual sense of taste or smell?

– Does anybody in your household have any of the symptoms?

We will ask you to reschedule your appointment if you answer yes to any of these questions.

Sanitise your hands before and after your appointment

We are unable to provide magazines, but we have a QR code for you to point your phone or tablet’s camera at to view a full range of digital magazines.  Our usual lovely refreshment menu is also on pause, so we have cold water available along with disposable cups,  please do not bring your own food or drink.  

Our consultations will be carried out via the mirror.  This isn’t how we like to talk to you and discuss your hair, but for the time being this will help reduce face to face contact

Clients will be provided with a disposable. gown and towel, and due to latest government guidelines, you must arrive at the salon wearing a face covering (if exempt, simply let your stylist know). Stylists and assistants will be wearing a disposable gown and visor

Each station and all hair styling tools will be sanitised between each client

We have had to apply a small price increase across the board on all services along with a small Covid surcharge to help contribute towards additional costs following the government guidelines.  We appreciate this has been a difficult time for everybody both during lock-down and we have kept any increase as small as possible. 

We encourage you to rebook your next appointment prior to leaving the salon or book via our website or app whilst you’re in having your hair done.  You will be asked to pay a deposit if you are visiting us for a colour service for the first time, or if you are a regular GOLSON client and booking in for a Kerasilk or large colour appointment.  Deposits are transferable to a new date or refundable when 48 hours notice is given.  

There will be no promotions / discounted services upon reopening.

Membership privileges remain and we have extended your membership by 15 weeks or number or weeks remaining, if they were due to expire during lockdown period. We will not be selling any future memberships at this time

We will need to carry out new allergy tests due to the length of time we’ve been closed.  You don’t need to make an appointment, you’ll be able to just turn up during our new salon opening hours, 48 hours prior to your appointment.  However, please wait by the door and one of the team will come to you!  Remember, if you don’t have a new allergy test, we will be unable to carry out your colour appointment.

We WILL have the same friendly atmosphere without the hug, kiss handshake or high-five, and we’ll have the same massage backwash chairs to help you relax and instead of the chitter chatter, feel free to sit back, relax and enjoy the music 🙂

We love the relationships we have with our lovely clients, so please do not be offended if our team are busy making your hair gorgeous instead of catching up with you.  Be patient with us whilst we catch up with the many clients who have an appointment during the coming weeks and whilst we also get used to working in this new way.  We are unable to run late or overlap our clients.  We thank you so much for always supporting us, we appreciate you and cannot wait to see you again!

We are operating a reduced  telephone booking line, so please book online, or manage your appointments by downloading our free GOLSON app.  Alternatively, leave a message on 01908 904499 and somebody will come back to you.  We ask for your patience as we have fewer team members at any one time and are very busy for the first few weeks of reopening.
