Here is what you’re saying about your mums…

“I’d like to nominate my mum for your Mother’s Day competition as she is not only the most inspiring person to me with her incessant work ethic and ferocious maternal instincts, she has been my rock my whole life.  My mum was by my side when I wasn’t well in 2006 and again for my recent surgery, she was there through it all.  She really does deserve a pampering as she has spent her life putting her children before herself xxx” ~ Laura

“My mum, Mary, has a heart of gold, she puts everyone before herself and deserves a good pamper!  Not only is she a regular client of yours but she also takes the time to ensure that her granddaughter doesn’t miss out and frequently escorts her to have her hair cut with you!  Even on her down days she will always put a smile on someone’s face, and with a new grandchild on the way, I really couldn’t ask for a better mum or nanny for my children” ~ Louise

“Everybody’s mum is a special lady which makes this task impossibly hard, I know I would find it very difficult to pick a ‘winner’  What makes a mum a ‘special’ mum?   As with many people life throws some hurdles at us and this last 8 months have been particularly hard for me as I haven’t been well. My mum has been there for me to overcome these obstacles. All through the winter she has rode her (very old) bike along side me just so I could train for the half marathon and know the route inside and out so I could achieve a goal and overcome some difficult challenges.   She’s rode through horrible weather and been freezing for the rest of the day! Then when I’ve been stuck at the doctors she’s picked my children up from school. The girls think the world of my mum and I don’t know what I would do without her on the end of the phone to step in and help whenever I asked.  She’s a very selfless wonderful mum who never actually gets the credit she deserves and this would be a perfect way to show her a huge thank you for everything she does for me.” ~ Claire

“My mum means the world to me. As a child I needed to be in hospital  every year. And she was always  there by my side. When we are together we have such good laughs she is loved so much more that she will ever know.” ~ Mary

“I think my mum should win a little pamper, because she’s my absolute rock!  We are currently going through a bereavement in the family (my grandmother), and she is so strong, holding the family together, while taking various calls, arranging appointments and sorting funeral plans etc. I know this is bringing back painful memories from when she did all of this for her mum 6 years ago, but she doesn’t show her pain, just just worries about how everyone else is feeling and what she can do to help.  She did so much for my grandparents, including many night calls when one of them had fallen over. She never complained, despite having major surgery on her back a few years ago (coccyx removed).  She is the most selfless person you will meet. And also a fantastic nanny to my 10month old daughter. Whatever we need, she is there, never turning us away. Whether that’s taking holiday to look after me and my daughter whilst I was really poorly, or being at the end of the phone for advice anytime day or night (and that’s the gods honest truth!). She always has so much time and support to offer anyone, never asking for anything in return.  Her friends and family are so very lucky to have her in their life. She really is one in a million x” ~ Chloe

“My mum inspires me because… no matter what she’s always smiling and happy. She’s always there to cheer you up and tell you everything is going to be okay. Despite suffering her own battles with mental illness in the past you certainly wouldn’t know it today! She’s made a marvellous recovery and seizes each day now.  She’s come out stronger than ever and despite all this she still has time for everyone else. She dedicates her time to working in a charity shop now which to me shows truly how big her heart is. She’s also had frustrations with her weight and all of a sudden she’s become driven and dedicated to exercise and eating healthy and has lost all of her desired weight in an amazing time frame. She’s now slimmer and healthier than ever and looks absolutely fantastic! She inspires me to know you can achieve something if you really put your mind to and no mountain is too high.  She’s fantastic, amazing and makes me so proud to be her daughter ❤ love you mum” ~ Rosie

“It’s not my mum that inspires me, although she is a mum. Carla La Mealing is battling cancer every day. She never gives up and she’s never negative I think she deserves just a few hours that are just for her to cheer her up. ❤❤❤” ~ Janine
